Walter "Wally" H. Hermann

Walter “Wally” H. Hermann, age 83 of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Wally was born on January 19, 1941 in Manitowoc, son of the late Frederich and Mabel (Auschenbach) Hermann. He grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1959 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On April 30, 1993 Wally married Carol R. Reichert in Manitowoc. He retired from Lakeshore Business Interiors in 2006 as their Installation Manager. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the Men’s Choir and the Funeral Choir. Wally enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and helping at the Izaak Walton League Corn Stand at the Manitowoc County Fair.

Survivors include his wife: Carol Hermann, Manitowoc; three sons and one daughter: Jeffery Hermann, Manitowoc, Jonathon Hermann (Mary Voss-Klein), Manitowoc, Joylynn Hermann, Green Bay, Jeremy (Cristina) Hermann, Minneapolis, MN; eleven grandchildren: Craig, Jake, Gretchen, Jonah, Taelor, Brady, Sophia, Clara, Lola, Oliver, and Ezra; two brothers: Jerry Hermann, Waynesboro, PA, David Hermann, Manitowoc, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frederich and Mabel Hermann; one brother and sister-in-law: Dick and Judy Hermann.
