Thomas “Tom” Francis Kaufmann “The squealer”, 77, of Kiel passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
Tom was born on June 15, 1946 to Milton and Edna (Konopacki) Kaufmann. He was a graduate of Kiel High School. He served his country in the 127th Infantry of the National Guard. Tom owned and operated Thomas Kaufmann Roofing. He was a well-known mechanic who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed him. Over the years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, riding motorcycles, tinkering on old motors, and fixing and collecting chainsaws. He had a love of animals, especially cats and dogs.
Tom is survived by his children: David (significant other Kathy) Kaufmann, Matthew (Sara) Kaufmann, and Michelle (significant other Tim) Kaufmann; grandchildren: Phoenix, Autumn, Noah, Aiden, and Braylon; brothers and sisters: Peter Kaufmann, Jerry (Jeannine) Kaufmann, Bill (Marge) Kaufmann, Mark (Robin) Kaufmann, Richard (Donna) Kaufmann, Diane Kaufmann, Barbara Schmidt, Susan Pharr, Mary (Robert) Brandt, and Jeanne (Rick) Driscoll; special family and friends: Hildi Kaufmann, Paul and Carol Wagner and Peter Propson; and his faithful companions: Susie and his feline family. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Milton and Edna Kaufmann; three brothers: David Kaufmann, John Kaufmann, and Joe Kaufmann; and one brother-in-law: Bill Schmidt.
A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Augst 6, 2023 at 3:30 pm at the Christianson & Deja Funeral Home, 202 S. Liberty Street, Valders. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the funeral from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:30 pm.
