Thomas Fessler

Thomas Fessler, 79, of Manitowoc passed away on June 21, 2022.

Thomas was born on March 13, 1943. Son of Norbert and Antoinette Gehrig Fessler. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1961. He attended the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and received his BS degree in 1965. Upon his graduation Tom accepted a position with the Los Angeles Unified School. In 1973 he received a MS degree from California Lutheran University. Tom remained with the LA District for 37 years. He retired as an assistant principal in 2003. Upon retirement Tom returned to Manitowoc.

Tom is survived by his brother; Kenneth (Cele) Fessler; his nieces: Bonnie and Linda Fessler; special cousins: Marjorie Habermann, Tony Fessler, and Steve Eis; and special friends: Tom Brull and Jon Menk. Tom is further survived by numerous other cousins, relatives, and friends.

It was Tom’s wish to issue a special thank you to the young men who were very helpful to Tom during his final years: Nick Hodgson, Wyatt Keehan, Trevor Leist, Graham Pratt, and Bryce Schaefer.

A memorial service to celebrate Thomas’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
