Terry Leigh Warden

Terry L. Warden, age 69, of Manitowoc, passed away Sunday morning, August 29, 2021 at his residence.

Terry was born on July 22, 1952 in Two Rivers, son of the late Walter Dave and Carol Mae (Urbanek) Warden. He graduated with the class of 1970 from Roncalli High School, Manitowoc. While at Roncalli, Terry was a sensational running back for the Roncalli Jets. He was nominated for the Who’s Who in High School athletics for his efforts which resulted in the Jets winning the WISAA State Football Championship in 1969-1970 season. Terry was a first team all-conference choice at both offensive and defensive halfback positions, coached by Ron Klestinski. He received All-State honorable mention accolades for his offensive skills. Terry was also a member of the Jets Track Squad, competing in the long jump and sprints. He had an opportunity to play professional football but chose to work in the family-owned business, Lakeshore Terminal Warehouse. On February 14, 1976 Terry married the former Barbara Rose Risch in Manitowoc. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo and the Manitowoc Yacht Club.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Barb Warden, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Dr. Melissa (Shawn) Pronold, Manitowoc, just recently moved here from California to be with her father; one son and daughter-in-law: Ross (Tricia) Warden, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Primrose Pronold, Brooklyn Pronold, Phynley Pronold, Shawn Pronold Jr.; one brother and sister-in-law: David (Linda) Warden, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Don (Kathie) Risch, Manitowoc, Paul (Diane) Risch, Shawano; two loving dogs: Lacy and Leo, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Carol Warden.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Doug LeCaptain will Celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Church on Friday at the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Manitowoc is assisting the Warden family with funeral arrangements.
