Steven L. Novy

Steven L. Novy, age 68, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center, Milwaukee with his loving family at his side.

Steve was born on December 29, 1952 in Manitowoc, son of the late Lester and Mary (Barbeau) Novy.  He grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1971 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Following high school, Steve entered the United States Navy on October 25, 1974 and was honorably discharged October 13, 1978. On September 8, 1990 Steve married Deborah J. Hack in the township of Newton. Steve worked in maintenance for the Goetze Company and retired from Federal Mogul in April of 2018.  Steve enjoyed riding his motorcycles, camping, music and his cottage up North.    

Survivors include: his wife: Deborah J. Novy, Manitowoc; one son: Jonathon Hack, Manitowoc; one grandson: Kendrew; one sister and brother-in-law: Christine (William) Boeder; two nephews and their wives: Chad (Nicole) Boeder, Seth (Shannon) Boeder; cousins, other relatives and many friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lester and Mary Novy.

Military Honors will be accorded to Steve on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the All-Care Gathering Center, 925 South 14th Street, Manitowoc by the Vietnam Veterans Chapter #731 of Manitowoc. Following the military honors relatives and friends may gather and join Steve’s family for a social gathering in Steve’s honor at the All-Care Gathering Center until 6:00 p.m.
