Ruth M. (Kitzerow) Kozaczuk

Ruth M. Kozaczuk, age 96, a Manitowoc resident passed away on Sunday August 7, 2022, at Riverwoods Place under hospice care.

Ruth was born on August 26, 1925, in the township of Cato, daughter of the late Reinhard and Frieda (Haese) Kitzerow. She grew up in the Cato area and moved to Manitowoc in 1945.  On June 7, 1952, Ruth was married to Edward A. Kozaczuk at St. John- St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsville, he preceded her in death on December 12, 2005. She was employed with the Manitowoc Health Care Center as a laundry supervisor for 42 years, retiring in 1986. Ruth was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, the OWLS of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Manitowoc Senior Center.

Survivors include one brother: Rev. Eugene Kitzerow, Elm Grove; two sisters-in-law: Eleanor Kozaczuk, Two Rivers, Phyllis Armstrong, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Reinhard and Frieda Kitzerow; her husband: Edward Kozaczuk; ten brothers-in-law and nine sisters-in-law: Renata Kitzerow, Charles (Emily) Kozaczuk, Chester Kozaczuk, Leo Kozaczuk, Pauline Kozaczuk, Edward (Elizabeth) Decker, Delores (Earl) Kugler, Francis (Serena) Lemberger, William Armstrong, Tessie (Clifford) Trottier; Florence (Anthony) Packowski; Eleanor (Russell) Franke.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 12, 2022, at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. The Rev’s Robert Kujawski and Stephen Melso will officiate with Entombment to follow at The Knollwood Mausoleum in the town of Kossuth. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am.

A Memorial fund has been established for Bethany Ev. Lutheran or the donor’s choice.
