Ronald L. Wilker

Ronald Lee “Gopher” Wilker, age 81, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Sunday March 12, 2023. 

He was born July 4th, 1941 in Two Rivers, son of the late Alice and John Wilker.  He attended schools in Two Rivers.  On October 6th, 1962 he married Barbara Mathiak at St. Johns Church.  Ron spent most of his working years at ECK Ind. Retiring after 39 years.  He was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Two Rivers.  He had many hobbies and interests, his family and grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy.  He spent countless hours woodworking making cherished keepsakes, always looking for his next project. 

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister in law Robert (Luanne) Wilker, brother-in-law Gilbert Lenkiewicz, mother and father in law Hazel and Charles Mathiak.  Ron is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 61 years, Barb Wilker, and their two children: Alan (Brenda) Wilker, Teresa (Scott) Yankee.  He is further survived by grandchildren: Tanner (Sarah) Yankee, Brandon Yankee and special friend Daija Christensen, Zachary Wilker, Kaylee Wilker, Taylor (Jason) Estrada.  He is further survived by sister and brother in law Bonnie (Mike) Monka, sister in law Pat Lenkiewicz; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends. 

The family will greet relatives and friends at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Monday, March 20, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of services at 11:00am. Burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery, Town of Kossuth.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Good Shepherd Church Roof Fund.
