Peter 'Pete" Miller Obituary

Peter “Pete” Miller, 62, of St. Nazianz passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday when his loving heart quit working, February 28, 2023 at his home.

Pete was born on April 27, 1960 in Manitowoc to Raymond and Fay (Green) Miller. He was a graduate of Reedsville High School. On May 12, 1984 he married the love of his life the former Kayla Buerger.

Pete was employed at Agri-King and was a hard-working family man. He was a salesman and a bullshitter in the best sense of the term. In his life-time he probably sold one of everything.

He had a bigger heart then most men. He wore that big heart on his sleeve and cared for so many deeply and in his unique way. Pete enjoyed people. He loved glad handing with strangers and was known as a man with many great friends. Friendship is something he taught us to value greatly and he was blessed to have many great friends in his life. The number one person was the love of his life Kayla, his wife of almost 39 years. They enjoyed many adventures on their journey together from tropical vacations to motorcycle trips and boating days. There was always the next trip for them to plan. His children were his greatest achievement-he worked so hard to pass on many wild and crazy life lessons. He taught us how to be brave, to care deeply for your loved ones, to work hard, and to live life full throttle. He was thriving in his role as a grandpa to his three grandsons and granddaughter. Countless rides on many machines, way too  much sugar consumption, lake days and bear baiting, burnouts and teasing-that love was never ending. In the words of his grandson “Grandpa Pete was just the best guy”.

Pete was an avid sports fan his entire life,  known to some as “Mr. Everything” during his high school days. Pete loved all things basketball and football and was a huge Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed the outdoors chasing the big buck, reeling in the walleye and hanging out at the cabin up north. He loved to burn rubber on that Harley and you could hear him coming from a mile way. He was also known as the dog whisperer and they were all his honey’s. He loved himself some good music- Neil, Cash, Bob and Fleetwood-cranked loud flying down the highway or floating on the boat.

He was a trip and joy to be around and we are grateful for every journey we got to go on with him. He taught us how to love fiercely and freely and we can’t wait to hear your Pete stories when we see you next. His Motto: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a well-preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO, what a ride”!

Pete is survived by his wife: Kayla; children: daughter Lindsey (Derek Bries), sons Jesse (Ashley), Zachary (Chandra) & Tyler (Kiara) and four grandchildren Beau and Vivienne Bries and Brooks and Macklin Miller and his dog Cassie. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Fay Miller, his brother Michael Miller, his sister Patricia Zeiner, his father-in-law Joseph Buerger and his nephew Giovanni Garza.
