Olive Draheim Obituary

Olive Katherine Marie Draheim, age 98, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Tender Reflections Assisted Living, Manitowoc, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 1, 1923 in the Town of Two Rivers, daughter of the late William and Caroline (Leitermen) Sprang. Olive attended Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1941. On August 21, 1943 she married Elroy Draheim at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Collins. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2008. She stayed home and raised her six children until they were all in school, then she went on to be a blueprint clerk at Hamilton Manufacturing for 13 years. Olive was a seamstress for all of her six children. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning fresh fruits and vegetables, and cake decorating. She loved to travel and visited many historical places throughout the United States. Olive was also an avid reader and loved dancing.

Olive is survived by her six children: Lynn (Oliver) Skrivanie, Fish Creek, WI, Lea (Dan) Fitzgibbons, Lakewood, CO, Laneh Johnston, Appleton, WI, Lisa (Shawn) Moore, Manitowoc, WI, Lonnie (Paula) Draheim, Manitowoc, WI, and Lori Baldauf, Charlotte, NC; 14 grandchildren: Bryn (Mike) LeClair, Brent (Dayna) Skrivanie, Brooke (Paul) Stanton, Colleen (Matt) Maydew, Bryan Fitzgibbons, Chip (Jennifer) Johnston, Kirsten (Aaron) Armbrust, Merrick (Chris) Wacker, Heather (Zak) Domrath, Tyler (Amanda) Draheim, Christopher (Laurel) Socha, Matthew (Erin) Socha, Austin (Heather) Moore, and Tyler (Amanda) Moore; and 34 great-grandchildren: Brandon and Madelyn LeClair; Isabella Skrivanie; Molly, Sam, Clara, Henry, and Nora Stanton; Alexis Armenta; Tori and Makian Maydew; Cameron Johnston; Ella, Kate, and Claire Armbrust; Anna and Easton Wacker; Yvette and Evan Moore; Leila and Wade Moore; Lindsey and Madison Domrath; Ava, Mason, and Lucy Draheim; Elijah, Olive, Eleanora, and Abel Socha; and Eva, Quinne, Noel, and Jude Socha. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Elroy; one granddaughter: Lindsey Draheim; one son-in-law: Lee Johnston; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Harold (Ethel) Sprang and Harvey (Mildred) Sprang; one sister and brother-in-law: Alice (John) Wiese; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Alfreda and Richard Draheim; four brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law: Elmer (Anita) Draheim, Wilbur (Margie) Draheim, Harvey (Irma) Draheim, and Allen (Leona) Draheim; and a close friend: Charlotte Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, 1420 22nd Street, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Paul Gleichner. Olive will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Guests are required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. Also, please use social distancing and refrain from physical contact.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Olive’s name to Aurora Hospice.
