Marjorie R. “Marge” Bodwin, age 96, of rural Reedsville died early Thursday morning, August 4, 2022 at her residence.

Marge was born on May 10, 1926 in Grimms, WI, daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (O'Hearn) Hennessey. She grew up in Grimms and on November 16, 1948 Marge was married to Donald J. Bodwin at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Don preceded her in death on January 22, 1985.

Marge was a 1944 graduate of East De Pere High School. Following high school Marge attended the Wisconsin Beauty College in Green Bay. She was a beautician for the Little Paris Beauty Salon in Two Rivers and later owned and operated the Hairport Beauty Salon in Brillion.

Marge was a member of the Cato Homemakers, a Master Gardener in the Manitowoc Gardening Club, a founding member of The Friends of St. Patrick’s and was currently serving on their board. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic church and choir. She taught CCD religious education classes in various parishes for over 40 years. Marge took extreme pride in caring for her yard and could be seen out there daily mowing, planting and caring for her many flowers. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and took part in every function of The Friends of St Patrick.

Survivors include her five children: Judy (Roger) Zeamer, Appleton, Pat (DeAnna) Bodwin, Reedsville, Jill (Richard) Leitner, Hilbert, Michael (Sandy) Bodwin, Sturtevant, Casey (Tracilyn) Bodwin, Neenah; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Patrick and Margaret Hennessey; her husband: Donald J. Bodwin; siblings: Kenneth (LaVerne) Hennessey, Norbert (Donna) Hennessey, Roman (Helen) Hennessey, William (Lorraine) (Florence) Hennessey, Jane (Donald) Kalies, Mary (Ed) Vogel; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arthur (Mary) Bodwin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Ralph (Frances) Bodwin, Grace Bodwin, Everett (Florence) Bodwin, Leona (Earl) Bremmer, Eleanor (Stanley) Kopetsky.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at St. Patrick Church, Maple Grove with burial to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Maple Grove. Relatives and friends may call at St. Patrick Church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon. The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Reinbold & Pfeffer Funeral Home, Kellnersville location is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to THE FRIENDS OF ST PATRICK SCHOLARSHIP FUND. The family would like to thank Tim Bodwin, Melissa Cassidy and Emma Bodwin for their loving care shown to Marge over the past four months. The family would also like to thank the Reedsville First Responders, Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department, the Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office and the Valders Ambulance for their kindness shown to Marge’s family.
