Marion J. (Tewel) Olson

Marion J. Olson, age 98 of Manitowoc passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on December 28, 1923 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Ray and Lydia (Wilke) Tewel. She attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1942 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On April 10, 1948 she married Gerald Olson in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2013. Marion was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. She enjoyed baking and cooking.

Survivors include three Daughters and sons-in-law: Karen (James) Kropp, Two Rivers, Gail (Tom) Graff, Manitowoc, Kay (James) Trost, Whitelaw; seven grandchildren: Jodi (Tim) French, IA, Jason (Maggie) Hendricks, AZ, Keith (Rachel) Graff, Manitowoc, Neil (Moki) Graff, Manitowoc, Ryan Trost, Manitowoc, Marques Trost, Manitowoc, Daniel Trost and his fiancée Taylor, Manitowoc; seven great-grandchildren: Kenneth and Abbie French, Connor, William and Patrick Hendricks, Dakota and Makana Graff; one sister and brother-in-law: Beverly (Joe) Knipp, TN; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Jane Shaw, Sherwood, William (Jean) Olson, NC, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ray and Lydia Tewel; husband: Gerald Olson; one sister: Elaine Stangel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 28, 2022 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 2601 South 10th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dr. Matthew L. Sauer will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
