Margaret Evenson Obituary

Margaret E. Evenson, age 88, of Valders passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born October 30, 1934, in Whitelaw, daughter of the late Anton and Margaret (Bonnell) Brandl. She was a 1952 graduate of Lincoln High School. In 1952 she married Marlyn Evenson on June 21st, he preceded her in death on March 26, 2016. She was employed at Leverenz Shoe Company and Christel’s Piggly Wiggly until her retirement. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children: Patricia & Butch Shimek, Manitowoc, Marilyn & Tony Schad, Valders, Terry Evenson & special friend Kimberly Johnson, Chilton, Jeff & Julie Evenson, Valders, and James & Brenda Evenson, Valders; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren with one more to be born April 2023. Also surviving sisters-in-law: Virgina Meyer, Marlene Evenson, Veronica Evenson, Judy Evenson, all of Valders. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters Virginia Brandl, Lorraine Brandl, Germaine and Richard Bauer; three brothers: James Brandl, Howard Brandl, Jerry and Margie Brandl; brother and sisters-in-law: Betty and Ted Jeske, Ruby and Bud Meyer, Gene Evenson, Joyce and Bill Wiegert, June and Dan Meyer, Donnie Evenson, Bob Meyer,  Roger and Dori Evenson,  Dennis Evenson; and by great grandchildren Bennett and Asher Evenson.

Cremation has occurred at the All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and a Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Dan Lyman. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at Valders West Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday morning at the church.

The family has requested that memorials can be made out to Sharon S. Richardson hospice or the Valders West Cemetery Association.
