Kristine Jacobson Obituary

Kristine F. Jacobson, age 47, of Manitowoc passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Kristine was born January 22, 1974 in Milwaukee, daughter of Michael and Doreen (Bollenbach) Festge. She graduated with honors from Whitefish Bay High School in 1992. Kristine graduated from Carleton College, Northfield MN, in 1996 with a degree in religion. On April 17, 1999 she was united in marriage to Andy Jacobson in Milwaukee.

Kristine worked as Faith Formation Director at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. She had also worked as Youth Director at Grace English Lutheran Church (Berlin, WI), music teacher at schools in Kiel and St Nazianz, and staff at Jackson Elementary School. Kristine served as Jackson School PTO president for several years. She was an active volunteer for numerous school, church, and community organizations.

Kristine enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a talented musician as a vocalist and violinist. Kristine enjoyed being in nature through hiking and camping. She experienced many travels around the United States and globally.

Kristine was a vital, kind, and generous individual. She was a loving wife and mother. Kristine had a strong faith, and helped many others nurture their own faiths.

Survivors include her husband: Andy Jacobson, Manitowoc; her children: Sam, Gretchen, and Theo Jacobson; Kristine is further survived by her parents, Mike and Doreen Festge, Shorewood WI, her sister Kate (Michael) Ricaurte Northbrook Il, her brother Kurt (Jen) Festge Asheville, NC, parents – in-law Don and Jo Jacobson, her brother-in-law Steve (Debbie), her sisters-in-law Mary Boehlke, Anne (Andy) Dressel, and Amy (James) Agpoon. She leaves 15 nieces and nephews and 2 great nephews who also mourn her passing along with a host of friends worldwide. She was preceded in death by her nephew Joshua Banda.

Kristine’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, specifically Dr. Baatz, Nurse Angi, and the Cancer Center team.

The family will greet relatives and friends at First Lutheran Church, 521 N 8th St, Manitowoc, on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 8 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m..  A private memorial service for family will follow public visitation.
