John J. Leiker

John J. Leiker, age 70 of Manitowoc passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 14, 2022 at his residence.

John was born on June 16, 1952 in Manitowoc son of the late John Martin and Dorothy (Oquist) Leiker. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1970 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He received his Associates Degree from University of Wisconsin, Manitowoc. He served in United States Army. He married Judy Lorenz with whom he had two daughters. Later he married the former Tammy Jo Gates in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2011. In the past John worked for Manitowoc Engineering Company, the Mirro Corporation and the Kohler Company.

He is survived by his two daughters and one son-in-law: Melissa (Steve) Hecker, Angela Leiker, six grandchildren: Gage (Jessica) Leiker, Xandy Leiker, Blaze Hecker, Jett Hecker, Acacia Hecker and Violet Hecker; three great-grandchildren: Mateo, Saige and Gage; one brother: Richard Leiker; one niece: Michelle Leiker and her husband Scott, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Dorothy Leiker; his wife: Tammy Jo Leiker; two brothers and one sister-in-law: James Leiker, Cleeland (Marie) Leiker.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with burial at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
