Jimmy Stieglitz Obituary

Jimmy A. Stieglitz, age 76, a resident of Manitowoc, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Jimmy was born on August 17, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late Roland and Marion Stieglitz. He graduated from Brookfield Central High School. Jimmy was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War (1966-68) reaching the rank of Sergeant prior to being honorably discharged. One of his proudest moments was when he participated in the Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight to Washington D.C. in 2017.

In 1987, Jimmy met the love of his life, Susan Kraus. After a long courtship they married on June 8, 2005. Jimmy was the proud father of his son and two step-children. He was a true kid at heart and was always making his family laugh. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the casino and taking care of his two birds, Sheldon & Sassy and his Grand-Puppy Brunee.

Survivors include his wife: Susan Kraus-Stieglitz; step-children: Michael Kraus, Dawn (Paul) Glover; grandchildren: Kyle Kraus, Lucas (Ali) Glover, Brian Kraus; his brother: Donnie Stieglitz, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his son: James Alan Stieglitz Jr.; two brothers: Gilbert Stieglitz and Larry Stieglitz; and his parents: Roland and Marion Stieglitz.
