Carol Schema Obituary

Carol A. Schema, age 71, of rural Kiel passed away Saturday evening September 30, 2023, at Willowdale Nursing and Rehab of New Holstein.

The former Carol Mayer was born on January 7, 1952, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Meyer) Mayer. She was a 1970 graduate of Valders High School. On October 28, 1972, Carol was married to Peter W. Schema at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. The couple farmed in the town of Eaton, and she also worked for Glen Flora Nursery in Kiel.

Survivors include her husband: Peter W. Schema, rural Kiel; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Allan (Kathryn) Schema, Manitowoc, and Ben Schema, rural Kiel; one brother and sister-in-law: Ken (Linda) Mayer, rural Valders; one sister: Sharon Mayer, Kiel, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Dorothy Mayer; brother: William Mayer; and one sister and brother-in-law: Linda (Ken) Riddle.

Cremation will occur at the All-Care Cremation Center in Manitowoc. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
