Carol Mae Meissner, 93, of Two Rivers passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Froedtert Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc.
Carol was born on July 4, 1930 in Two Rivers to Edward and Rose (Colling) LeClair. She was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. On May 2, 1953, she married the love of her life and best friend Delmar Meissner. Carol was a dedicated wife and mother and devoted her life to raising their family.
Carol was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish. Carol was an avid Milwaukee Bucks fan, enjoyed bowling and cherished time spent with her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 70 years: Delmar Meissner; her children: Stacie (Greg) Stan, Kim (Don) Genin, Brad (Mary) Meissner, Mary (Rick) Fitzgerald, and Peggy Meissner; grandchildren: Megan Gutknecht, Ryan Stan, and Nicholas Meissner; great-grandchildren: Ella and Jayden Gutknecht; and faithful companion: Oscar. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Rose LeClair; daughter: Cathy Meissner; parents-in-law: Edwin and Gladys Meissner; brothers and sisters; and sister-in-law: Audrey (John) Gebert.
A memorial service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 4:00 pm at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, 1420 22nd Street, with Rev. Dave Pleier officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm.
