Betty J. (Heberer) Schwartz

Betty J. Schwartz, 89, of Plymouth passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Sunny Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sheboygan.

Betty was born on February 19, 1933 in Plymouth a daughter to the late Norman and Adeline (Schaeffer) Heberer.  She attended schools in Plymouth.   On July 20, 1968 she was united in marriage to Lyle “Red” Schwartz   He preceded her in death on September 29, 1995.  Betty had worked at Bordens and for 27 years with her husband owned and operated BeLyle Ceramics.  Betty had an extensive collection of ceramic dolls and ceramics, some of which are displayed at the Plymouth Historical Society. This is something of which she was very proud.  She also enjoyed teaching tatting and crocheting.  She greatly enjoyed her many bingo trips and adventures.

Betty was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

Betty is survived by a son, John (Sheila) Schwartz of Fifield, WI; a daughter, Julie Faubel of Waukesha; two granddaughters, Angela (Ray) Wilborn of Waukesha and Danielle Maile also of Waukesha; eight great grandchildren and a brother, Robert Heberer of Plymouth.  Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gina Nelson and a son-in-law, Keith Faubel.

A funeral service for Betty will be held 7 pm, Sunday, October 23 at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth.  Family and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, 123 South St. Plymouth on Sunday from 5 pm until the time of service at 7 pm.

Betty’s family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to her friend Larry who has given her support in this past year, her church family and friends who assisted her and the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
