Deanna M. Sturm, age 72, of 2310 Adams Street, Two Rivers, died peacefully Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Deanna was born February 6, 1938, in Green Bay, daughter of the late Louis and Johanna (VanLaarhoven) Brusky. She was a graduate of Holy Family Convent High School, Manitowoc Teachers College, Lakeshore Technical College, and Marian College. On August 25, 1962, she married Karl B. Sturm at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2006. Deanna was a bookkeeper and tax consultant. She taught school in Ripon and at St. Luke School in Two Rivers. She was a former member of the St. Luke Ladies Society and the Two Rivers Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Christine & Paul Weina; Catherine & Bill Livingston; Clarice and Charles Hagen, all of Two Rivers; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Christopher and Tonja Sturm, Two Rivers; Carroll and Teresa Sturm, Sherman, TX; Jonathan Sturm, Two Rivers; 21 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; special "sister" and her spouse: Karen and Ed Hudson, Bay City, TX; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Henry and Bernadette Sturm, Manitowoc; Joan Drumm, Manitowoc; and Diane and Ronald Wisnicky, Kewaunee. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, two grandsons: Kevin Hagen, Charles Hagen, Jr; and two brothers-in-law: Roland Drumm and Robert Sturm.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Daniel Schuster. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo on Saturday, March 13, 2010 , from 9:00 until 9:45 am.

Glenn C. Gates, age 63, of 1512-25th Street, Two Rivers, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County.
Glenn was born January 14, 1947, in the town of Two Rivers, son of the late Gertrude E. (Stueck) Gates and George J. Gates. Glenn was baptized on February 9, 1947 and confirmed on March 26, 1961 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. On September 11, 1971 he married Maxine A. Gaedtke at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Glenn served in the U.S. Army from July 19, 1966 - 1968, stationed in Germany. He lived his life dedicated to faith, family, and friends. Glenn served on many church committees and also served as President of St. John's Council for multiple terms throughout the years. Glenn was the head of the Building Committee for St. John's Lutheran School on 45th Street in Two Rivers from 1999-2000. He was very proud of the dedicated workers of St. John's Congregation who worked together to get the job done. Glenn also participated in Relay for Life as a cancer survivor. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening, bowling, and spending time with his family, especially playing with his three granddaughters. He also enjoyed his job at Consumers Steel for 15 years under the ownership of Bob and Tom Niquette and at Consumers, Inc. under the ownership of Dave Eck for 25 years. Glenn enjoyed helping out wherever needed and always did the best job expected of him.
Survivors include his wife: Maxine "Max"; his four daughters who he loved dearly: Kelly Gates, Manitowoc; Gwen (Shane) Peterson, Sturgeon Bay; Angela (Brian) Mehlhorn, Manitowoc; Stacy Gates and her special friend, Joseph Rhone, Sun Prairie; Grandpa Glenn's three little princesses: Mallory, Marissa, and Lillian Mehlhorn, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Geri Gates, Wisconsin Dells; brothers-in-law: Jerome (Ardella) Gaedtke, Roman (Shirley) Gaedtke, Reiny (Shirley) Gaedtke Jr, Harlan (Caroline) Gaedtke, and Reginald (Phyllis) Gaedtke, all of Manitowoc; Herman (Carol) Gaedtke, Kiel; and Rahlan (Mary Jane) Gaedtke, Stevens Point. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents: Gertrude and George Gates, his half brother: George Gates, Jr.; his mother and father-in-law: Reinhardt and Adeline Gaedtke; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Geraldine and Harold Behnke.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church , Park Street, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Service will be Rev. David Scherbarth. Burial will be at Gjerpen Cemetery, town of Cato. Military Honors will be accorded by the Two Rivers. V.F.W. and American Legion.

Margaret Elizabeth (Maggie) Litersky passed away on March 5, 2010 at Shady Lane Nursing Home, Manitowoc after a battle with cancer.
Maggie was born on December 15, 1943 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Daniel (Sr.) And Eileen (O'Neil) Wergin. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962 and lived in Manitowoc almost all of her life. Maggie loved to take vacations in warm climates and playing with her grandchildren.
Maggie is survived by her longtime special friend and companion Richard (Breezy) Brindza, Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Brett Litersky, Manitowoc; Scott and Shawn Litersky, Madison; four grandchildren: Zachary Wichlacz (Litersky), Xavier Litersky, Luke Litersky and Lydia Litersky; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Daniel Jr. and Carol Wergin, Manitowoc; Dennis and Kay Wergin, Manitowoc and Florida; Donald and Pat Wergin, Manitowoc; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother Joseph Wergin.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Cremation has taken place and her cremated remains will be interred at a later date.

Ora Mae Valleskey, age 84, originally of Collins, Wisconsin, now a resident of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, entered her eternal home to be with her Lord, March 4, 2010 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, with her children holding her hands.
Ora Mae was born April 29, 1925, daughter of the late Herman and Hertha (Matznick) Damm. On May 29, 1947 she married Lyle Valleskey. He preceded her in death May 7, 1995. Ora Mae and Lyle retired from Dairy Farming in 1973 and moved to their second home in Collins. Ora Mae was active with the Collins Homemakers Club and loved to try many of the new recipes on her family, who found them to be quite delicious. People who had known Ora Mae knew she was an excellent homemaker.
Ora Mae was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Valders. She deeply enjoyed the Quilting Ministry and planned her weeks activity around it. Another Caring Ministry that Ora Mae found very fulfilling was knitting lap robes for the area nursing homes, her smile was broad as she delivered arm fulls of the lap robes to the nursing homes. Also, throughout Ora Mae's life, she loved her flower gardens, loved to get her hands dirty, and extended that love by working a number of seasons at Hartman's Greenhouse.
Ora Mae is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Bonnie Valleskey, Two Rivers; daughter and son-in-law: Pam and Wayne Riha, Manitowoc; grandchildren: Scott (Amy) Valleskey, Manitowoc; Mark (Neddra) Valleskey, North Carolina; Eric (Jenny) Riha, Michigan; Adam (Kristin) Valleskey, Manitowoc; great grandchildren: Braden and Keegan Riha, Parker & Autumn Valleskey, Joshua Valleskey, and twin step great grandsons: Ethan and Evan Riha; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Eileen and Merlin Kruger; sister-in-laws: Judy Valleskey and Gertrude Damm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; an infant son; her brother, Milton Damm; brother-in-law Larry Valleskey; and sister-in-law, Ethel Mae Alpert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. Officiating at the Service will be Rev. Jim Rasmus. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy 310, town of Kossuth.

Kevin J. "KP" Patterson, age 28, of 3609 Lowell Street, Two Rivers, died Sunday, February 28, 2010.
Kevin was born July 30, 1981, in Two Rivers, son of James M. and Elizabeth J. (Pilzak) Patterson. He attended Washington High School and was employed at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, Manitowoc. Kevin enjoyed fishing and helping on his friends farm. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his parents: James and Elizabeth Patterson, Two Rivers; one sister and brother-in-law: Lisa and Nathan Kroening, Francis Creek; one nephew: Owen Kroening; uncles: Ronald (Theresa) Pilzak, Two Rivers; and Roger (Doris) Pilzak, Rockford, IL. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Donald R. Weinberger, age 76, of 113 N. 41st Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on November 14, 1933 in Manitowoc, son of the late Fredrick and Margaret (Mahlock) Weinberger. Donald served in United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. On June 8, 1955 he married Marjorie A. Skrepenski in Waukegan, IL. Donald worked for Safeway Motor Coach and the Manitowoc Public School system. He also operated a private bus charter service along with a horseback riding stable until his retirement in 1996.
Survivors include his wife: Marjorie Weinberger, Manitowoc; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Tim and Vicki Weinberger, Manitowoc, Fred Weinberger and his special friend, Shaunda, Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law: Sue and Tom Reif, Manitowoc; ten grandchildren: Emily and Kelsey Weinberger, Danya, Tanya, Ashley and Cody Weinberger, Kelly, Corrie and Craig Reif; two great grandchildren: Odessa Reif and Jack Bauer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Virgil and Celia Skrepenski, Manitowoc, Diana and George Compton, Maribel, Luann Skrepenski, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Donald was also preceded in death by one sister: Laverne Weinberger; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Frank and Mary Skrepenski; two brothers-in-law: Marvin and Thomas Skrepenski; one sister-in-law: Joyce (James) Tennant.

Lois M. Sheldon, age 78, of 1617 Emmet Street, Two Rivers, WI died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Lois was born October 26, 1931 in Wabeno, daughter of the late Leonard and Nellie (Porte) Schroeder. She married Alfred Sheldon on February 3, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1995.
Lois worked at Connor's Industries and was a bartender at Lee's Inn, Vets Club and the Fondell Club, Nicolet, WI. She loved crocheting, movies, TV and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her special friend and family. Lois was especially known for her cherry and blueberry tortes.
Survivors include her children: Dan and Liz Sheldon, Laona; Gregg Sheldon, Newald, WI; Ronnie and Nancy Sheldon, Sheboygan Falls; Darlene and Ron Bey, Lincoln, MT; Donnie Sheldon, Iron River; Sissy and Mark "Elmer" Krizizke, Two Rivers; special friend Otto Engelbrecht, Two Rivers; grandchildren: Timothy (Maureen) Sheldon, Jennifer (Chad) Vertz, James Saubert, Lori (Wade) Rehrauer, Jared Sheldon, Megan Sheldon, Jamie Bey, Mandi Bey, Phylisha Sheldon, Steven Sheldon and Tori Krizizke; great grandchildren: Abby and Carmen Vertz, Erica Saubert, Austin, Allison and Brayden Rehrauer, Kaiden Sheldon and Julianna Korf; one sister and brother-in-law: Darlene and Larry Schoch, IN; and two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Leonard "Swede" and Betty Schroeder, Two Creeks; Donald and Nancy Schroeder, Rhinelander. Helen L. Zahorik, age 95, formerly of Wisteria House, Two Rivers, currently at Riversbend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County.
Helen was born April 11, 1914 in Rockwood, daughter of the late John and Cecelia (Hassemer) Meyer. She attended St. Ann's school in Francis Creek and also Rockwood State Grade School. On September 14, 1938 she was united in marriage to Frank Zahorik at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The couple farmed in the Tisch Mills area for 15 years prior to moving to Two Rivers in 1953. Frank preceded her in death on December 31, 1986.
Helen was a former member of the ladies of St. Luke's in Two Rivers and also the Resurrection Choir for many years.
Survivors include three sisters and a brother-in-law: Cecilia Strouf, Manitowoc; Viola and Jerry Schroeder, Greenleaf; Florence Wellner, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy "Dixie" Meyer, Manitowoc; and Arlene Meyer, Denver, CO. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Helen was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers-in-law: Ann and Alvin Cisler; Arnold Strouf and Paul Wellner; and three brothers and a sister-in-law: Edmund and Leona Meyer, Charles and Julius Meyer.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m Saturday, February 27, 2010 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Joseph G. Koral, age 88, of 1027 S. 11th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon, February 22, 2010 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
He was born on April 27, 1921, in Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph G. and Eleanor (Boersch) Koral. Joe was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1939. He then joined the United States Coast Guard during World War II from August of 1942 until February of 1946. On February 4, 1948 he married the former Grace Frisch at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2007. Joe and his wife, Grace, along with their son, Robert, owned and operated Koral's Restaurant for 70 years. He was a member of AmVets Post #99, V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659, the American Legion Post #88, and the Manitowoc Eagles Aerie #706.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Joseph R. & Vickie Koral, Robert J. & Margaret Koral, all of Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Jenny (Ben) Kebbekus, Milwaukee, Michael Koral, Manitowoc, Mared Koral, Arizona; one great grandson: Dylan Kebbekus; and two sisters-in-law: Betty Smith & Mary Frisch, both of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside Burial Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Graveside Service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt with burial of the cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by V.F.W. Josephine Olson Kirchen, age 99, formerly of 913 Manitou Street, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, February 22, 2010 at St. Mary's at Felician Village, Manitowoc.
She was born on November 27, 1910 in Fenwood, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Frank and Phyllis (Wilcot) Shimek. Josephine resided in Sheboygan, moving to Manitowoc in 1924. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1928. She married Robert Preston Olson and he passed away. She later married Raymond F. Kirchen on December 13, 1980 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1986. Josephine was employed at Mirro for several years and then the Department of the United States Army in Japan and Germany. She was later employed as a medical assistant for Drs. Belson & Radl for 25 years, retiring in 1978. Josephine was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Citizens, V.F.W. Auxiliary of Manitowoc and St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Manitowoc.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel & Lorraine Olson, Washington, N.C., James Olson, Pittsburg, Texas, Richard & Betty Olson, Port Washington; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister: Ann Kortens, Francis Creek. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Katrina Marie Olson, Captain Patrick Brian Olson; three brothers: Artie, Jack & Frank Shimek; and five sisters: Agnes Shimek, Dorothy Burrow, Patricia Hoy, Margaret Scanlan and Isabel Van Ouwerkerk.

Joseph C. Franz, age 98, of 1138 S. 26th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday, February 22, 2010, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
He was born on March 12, 1911 in Manitowoc, son of the late Ignatz & Helen (Popp) Franz. On January 10, 1934 he married the former Clara Schamburek at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Joe & Clara celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary on January 10, 2006. Clara preceded him in death on January 6, 2007. Joe was an office technician at Mirro Company for 50 years. He was a very active member and usher of the former St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Joe was a former member of the St. Mary's Men's Club and Holy Name and also enjoyed playing dartball. He was presently a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Joe was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved gardening, sports and card playing.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Joseph J. & Ruth Franz Jr., Manitowoc; a son-in-law: Donald Thone, Clarks Mills; thirteen grandchildren: Lisa (Steve) Steinhauer, Lori (Robert) Masiak, Lynn (Charles) Wagner, Dan (Sara) Franz, James (Gina) Franz, Chad (Paulette) Franz, Julie (Dan) Tikalsky, Joy (Steve) Scholten, Pam (Dave) Samsa, Karen (Chris) Heili, JoAnne (Pat) Dvorachek, Frank Thone, Steve Thone; 29 great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law: Helen Franz, Manitowoc. Also surviving are four sisters-in-law: Leonis Typner, California, Theresa Kohlbeck & her husband Leroy, Appleton, Anna Schermetzler, Whitelaw, and Marion Schamburek, Whitelaw. Edith M. Mott, age 80, of 3602 Mackert St., Manitowoc, died on Saturday evening, Feb. 20, 2010, at her residence.
She was born on July 29, 1929 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Arthur and Georgianna (Vareno) Hindt. Edith attended Two Rivers High School. On February 18, 1950 she married Eugene Mott at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1997. Edith was employed at Invincible Metal Furniture Company of Manitowoc until her retirement.

ITALICS: Edith had wonderful neighbors she could always rely on. Edith especially enjoyed "up north", feeding the birds, deer and raccoons. After their retirement, Edith & Eugene moved to the Crivitz area and enjoyed each day there, until Eugene's illness brought them back to Manitowoc in May of 1997.

Sharon S. Klein, age 58, a resident of Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County.
Sharon was born on January 24, 1952 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Clarence A and Jean M. (Lutzke) Klein. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, class of 1971. Sharon was employed with Oil Rite Manufacturing Company and Lube Devices of Manitowoc before going to school and receiving her Nurses Aide Certification.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Tayna and Apolo Ly, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Ashley Ann Yang and Brandon Ly; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara and Gregory Allie, Hamilton, OH, Marjorie And Ralph Hartfield, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews: Jennifer Allie, Andrew Allie, Allan Hartfield, Nathan Hartfield and his fiancé, Jennifer Brault, Matthew Hartfield; other relatives and friends also survive.

Juanita R. Gauthier, age 86 a resident of St. Mary's at Felician Village, Manitowoc, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the home.
She was born October 8, 1923 in Crowel, TX, daughter of the late James and Rosalee (Peeler) Gray. On February 4, 1943 she married Edward L. Gauthier in North Little Rock, AK. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1989. Juanita was employed with Hotel Manitowoc, National Tinsel Factory, Lakeside Packing, Lapcor Plastics, Aluminum Specialty and retired as a Housekeeper with Memorial Hospital in 1988. She was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center, AARP and St. Francis of Assisi, Manitowoc.
Survivors include one daughter: Ruth A. Brouchoud, Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Gene and Lori Gauthier, Manitowoc, Edward L. Gauthier, San Diego, CA; four grandchildren: Jason (Heidi) Gauthier and their children, Tyler, Alicia and Ashlen, Manitowoc, Heather (Evan) Rohn and their children, Logan, Garrett, Cody, Ethan and Sophie, Reedsville, Aaron Gauthier and Dena Elm, Manitowoc, Reed (Erin) Gauthier and their daughter, Ivy and expecting a family addition in August; one sister, Jewel Vessels, Amarillo, TX; one brother: Johnny Gray, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Evelyn T. Trost, age 91, formerly of 4915 Clover Road, and a current resident of St. Mary's Home at Felician Village, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, February 20, 2010 at the home.
She was born September 16, 1918 in Polania, WI, daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna (Malek) Konopacki. Evelyn was a graduate of St. Mary's Parochial School and Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, class of 1936. On May 26, 1945 she married Leonard D. Trost at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1988. Evelyn was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company for many years and Northern Labs, retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community in Newton.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Sharlene and Gene Fischer, Manitowoc, Mary Beth and Dave Fisher, Green Bay; six grandchildren: Steve and Kim Fischer and their children, Matthew and Kaitlyn, Manitowoc, Craig and Amy Fischer and their children, Alyssa, Bryce and Ryan, Manitowoc, Brad and Jenny Fischer and their children, Kaeden and Jacob, Manitowoc, Darrick and Lisa Hartman, Sheboygan, Nathan and Jenny Hartman and their children, Mason and Sawyer, Manitowoc, Dana and Jeramie Erickson, Green Bay; one brother and sister-in-law: Joseph and Alice Konopacki, Manitowoc; one sister: Dorothy DeRoche, Manitowoc; one brother-in-law: Ernest Walters, Cato; two sisters-in-laws: Marianne Konopacki, Sun City, Arizona, Lynette Konopacki, Neshkoro; two special godchildren: Mary Jo Rayford and Rhea Pirch, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Dorothy E. (Pilger) Musial Rolland, age 88, of 1317 S. 22nd Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at her home.
She was born on July 28, 1921, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Pape) Pilger Sr. Dorothy was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. She was employed at Johnson Hills, Manitowoc, and then with Park Lawn Nursing Home for many years. On October 24, 1942 she married Michael W. Musial at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1962. She later married Clement Rolland on December 20, 1967 in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1990.

Brian J. Strauss, age 31, of Markesan, died on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 as a result of an accident of Little Green Lake.
He was born on March 1, 1978, in Pembine, son of James Strauss and Christine (Eisner) Zamzow. Brian was employed as a boat mechanic at Johnson Boats in Montello. He was a member of Whitetails Unlimited and was an avid outdoors man.

LaVerne C. Mathy age 68, formally of 1500 N. 3rd Street Manitowoc, died Saturday February 13, 2010 at Shady Lane Nursing Home, Manitowoc.

LaVerne was born August 24, 1941 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Lester and Mary (nee Nelson) Copiskey. On October 3, 1970 LaVerne married Llewellyn Mathy in Menominee, Michigan. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2006.
LaVerne loved bowling, helping people, country music and the Packers. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. LaVerne also enjoyed her friends at her apartment complex. She was especially close to her two loving sisters.
LaVerne is survived by her six sons and five daugthers-in-law: Glenn and Claudia Leist, Greenville, Kevin and Panda Leist, Brillion, Steven and Michele Leist, Rockford, IL, Rick and Joan Leist, Menasha, Dennis Leist, Oshkosh, and Tim and Debbie Leist, Menasha. 2 step-children; Donna Gretz, Marinette, and Gordon (Renee) Mathy, Louisana. LaVerne is also survived by 9 grandchildren: David, Jennifer, Brent, Michael, Laura, Nick, Kori, Christian and Joel; 5 Step-grandchildren; 1 great grand daughter Harlie Isebella; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law; Lucille and Ron Kubichka, Manitowoc, and Joan Wilhelm, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. LaVerne is preceded in death by one brother Charles Copiskey and one step-son Dale Mathy.

Doris E. Pelnar, age 91, of 1122 Hawthorne St., Two Rivers, died Saturday morning, Feb. 13, 2010, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on October 25, 1918 in Green Bay, daughter of the late John and Eva (Lesperance) Kenville. Doris was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1936. She then obtained her Nursing Assistant Certification from Two Rivers Vocational School. On July 30, 1940 she married Alger Pelnar at St. Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Alvin Auer. Alger preceded Doris in death on August 3, 1992. She was employed as a nursing secretary at the Two Rivers Community Hospital for over fifteen years.

Mary E. Lallensack, age 60, a Sheboygan resident, died Sunday morning, February 7, 2010 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Community, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
She was born on January 5, 1950 in Manitowoc, daughter of Lucille (Leist) Lallensack and the late George Lallensack. Mary was a graduate of Kiel High School, Class of 1968. She was employed at RCS doing assembly work. An accomplished artist, Mary's artwork titled Light and Darker received an Honorable Mention Award at the 2009 VSA Arts - (Vision, Strength, Access) of Wisconsin annual art exhibit in Madison.

Robert A. Lemberger, age 69, formerly of 3901 County Road Q, currently residing at Walnut Grove Assisted Living Home, Manitowoc, finally found peace on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, after his long struggle with devastating Dementia.
Bob was born on June 7, 1940 in Cato, son of the late Harold & Julia (Radey) Lemberger. He helped on the family farm in Cato until its sale and then resided in Whitelaw. Bob graduated from Valders High School in 1958 and moved to Manitowoc where he worked. His field of work always involved heating, air conditioning, service and mechanical repair, retiring in 2003 from Lakeside Maintenance, Inc., which handled the maintenance of the Anhaueser-Busch Malt Plant. Bob was active in many activities over the years including the Boy Scouts, Shoto Conservation Club and Manitowoc Yacht Club working on many improvements and projects. He enjoyed cross country skiing, fishing, hunting and helping others with their projects.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years: Sue Lemberger, Manitowoc; a son: Tim and fiancee Kris York; two daughters: Laurie Lemberger & fiancé Kevin King, Jody LeGreve & fiancé John Borndahl, all of Two Rivers; a stepson: Dan & Jenny Siehr, Sun Prairie; a stepdaughter: Dawn & Brian Kisner, Dover, Delaware; three grandchildren and three step grandchildren: Austin, Ashley, Hunter, Amanda, Cole & Payton. He is also survived by two brothers: Dick (Marsha), Mark (Bonnie), a sister: Lynn & friend; four sisters-in-law and their spouses: Lou Anne & Wally Grapentine, Marilee & Lou Falligant, Patrice & Paul Schwartz, Connie & Steve Selby; and his father-in-law: Donald Rehrauer. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his stepmother: Leona; a sister and brother-in-law: Marilyn & Bill Weier; his son-in-law: Matt LeGreve; his mother-in-law: Dorothy Rehrauer; a great nephew: Michael Dallas and the mother of his children: Nancy.

Paul V. Reiser, Sr., age 86, of 2114 Lincoln Street, Two Rivers, died Wednesday, February 9, 2010, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
Paul was born April 26, 1923, in New Holstein, son of the late William and Frances (Becker) Reiser. He attended Technical School for welding. On November 30, 1934, Paul married the former Betty Lyon at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He was the owner and operator of Reiser Upholstery for ten years and Reiser Welding for twenty years. Paul was also a set up man and welder for 33 years at Manitowoc Crane Company, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, camping, "putzing" and remodeling. Paul was an avid Packer fan. His family was his life, and he loved spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife: Betty, Two Rivers; children and their spouses: Phil (Bev) Reiser, Manitowoc; Lawrence (Emily) Reiser, Francis Creek; Jennalee (special partner Michael) Teliszczak, Merrillville, Ind; Paulette Kouba, Two Rivers; Patricia (Michael) Derenne, Kewaunee; Nicolette (Gary) Guenette, Marinette; Dorinne Green, Manitowoc; Paul Jr. (Kim) Reiser, Two Rivers; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. Gerald C. "Jerry" Wojta, age 71, of 2715 32nd Street, Two Rivers, died Sunday afternoon, February 7, 2010 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Green Bay.
Jerry was born February 25, 1938, in Two Rivers, son of the late Ignatz A. and Angeline (Taddy) Wojta. He attended St. Luke's School and Washington High School, Two Rivers where he played basketball and football, graduating with the class of 1956. After graduation Jerry joined the Army Reserve. On February 6, 1960 he married the former Sharon Simono at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Jerry served in the Army during the Vietnam War, where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4th Class after 35 years of service to his country. He owned and operated Wojta Builders which was a third generation business. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He was a past member of the Master Builders, a past Commander of the V.F.W. Post #1248, a member of the AmVets, B.P.O.E. #1380 Elks Club, American Legion, and the Men of St. Peter the Fisherman. Jerry especially enjoyed attending his childrens and grandchildrens sporting events and concerts. Jerry loved Polka music, German Shepherd dogs and was an avid Badger and Packer fan.
Survivors include his wife: Sharon Wojta, Two Rivers; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Michael Wojta, Two Rivers; Todd and Kay Wojta, Madison; two daughters and sons-in-law: Wendy and James Kukla, Sheboygan; Sheri and Andrew Helwig, Oconomowoc; eleven grandchildren: Michelle, Christopher, and Mark Wojta, Eric and Kyle Wojta, Natalie, Cole and Paige Kukla, Jamie, Brett and Jordan Helwig; one brother and sister-in-law: Ronald and LeaAnn Wojta, Shawano; one sister and brother-in-law: Marilyn and Robert Henrickson, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law:Marlene and Wayne Kohlmeier, Two Rivers; one brother-in-law: Gerald Strebel, Brentwood, TN; and an aunt, Dorothy Stangel, Kewaunee. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Hubert and Ethel Simono; and a sister-in-law: Judith Strebel.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. William O'Brien. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the Two Rivers V.F.W. and the American Legion.

Robert K. Moore, age 89, formerly of 1314 Grand Avenue, currently residing at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died peacefully Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Shady Lane surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on May 31, 1920 in Green Bay, WI, son of the late Edgar and Rose (DeVolder) Moore. He graduated from Green Bay West High School with the class of 1938. On December 6, 1942 he married the former Irene Vandenboom at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2009. Bob was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company as an assistant credit manager, retiring after 34 years. Bob served in the United States Navy during WWII in the North Atlantic. He was on the Board of Directors of Manitowoc Community Credit Union for over 30 years. Bob was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Manitowoc Council 710. For 10 years Robert served on St. Andrews Parish Boy Scout and Cub Scout Council. Bob was an usher for over 50 years at the former St. Andrew Parish. Bob was a member of the Manitowoc Eagles Club Aerie #706. Bob was an avid Packers fan, home gardener and he enjoyed spending time with his family grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Judie McConnell, Two Rivers; Mary Kay and Allen Kubsch, Manitowoc; three sons and daughters-in-law; Tom and Kay Moore, Manitowoc, Ronn and Lou Ann Moore, Whitelaw; James and Josette Moore, Green Bay; 13 grandchildren; Michael McConnell, Steven McConnell, Allison (Jeff) Stindt, Joel (Renee) Kubsch, Ryan (Laura) Kubsch, Shanna Kubsch, Tim (Sandy) Moore, Brian Moore, Anthony Moore, Patrick (Katie) Moore, April (Thomas) Lara, Megan Moore, Kellen Moore, 17 great grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, a special cousin, Chris Ihnat and many friends also survive.
Bob was also preceded in death by one granddaughter; Pamela McConnell, one son-in-law; Jerry McConnell and a half brother; Curtis Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 8, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Daniel Schuster with entombment to follow at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum where graveside military rites will be accorded by the V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659.

Irene C. Naidl, age 81, of 929 Circle Drive, Manitowoc, died early Tuesday morning, February 2, 2010 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on March 7, 1928 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Leo & Catherine (Baka) Gliniecki. On July 3, 1948 she married Harold Naidl at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1990.

Chester L. Tadych, age 66, of 922 S. 21st Street, Manitowoc, died on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 surrounded by his family, after a short courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on May 7, 1943 in Manitowoc, son of Bernice (Segerson) and the late Clarence Tadych, Sr. Chester attended Manitowoc Lincoln High School graduating with the class of 1961. He served in the United States Army, completing two tours in Germany, where he married the former Gertie Koppl in Furth, Germany. Chester attended Lakeshore Technical College, and received his accounting degree, as well as being employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding. Chester was appointed Deputy City Treasurer of Manitowoc he then became the Administrative Assistant for the Manitowoc W.W.T.P., retiring at the age of 55 in 1998. Chester spent many hours at his land where he built a pond for fishing and many deer stands, along with his long time friend, Harold Anderson. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and grandson and loved spending time with all of his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife: Gertie Tadych, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Chet Jr. and his wife Helen, Plymouth; one daughter: Petra; six grandchildren: Franz Tadych, Charlotte Tadych, Breeya Spencer, Morgan Spencer, Chelsea Spencer and Leah Spencer; he is also survived by his mother: Bernice Tadych, Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Clarence and his wife Dorene Tadych, and Jeff and his wife Diana Tadych, all of Manitowoc; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Jennie (Bernice) Tadych, New London, Louise Gomm, Manitowoc, and Sara Hranicka and her husband Louis, Manitowoc; one godchild: Ashley Graykowski; and a long time friend: Mark Surfus; he is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Germany, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Military honors will be accorded by VFW Otto Oas Post # 659 immediately following the service.

Estelle Clare Wiese, age 94, formerly of 1709 Emmet Street, Two Rivers, died on Sunday morning, January 31, 2010 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, with her family at her side.
Estelle was born in Two Rivers on April 3, 1915, daughter of the late Joseph & Florence (St. Pierre) Calchinski. She graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers, class of 1933. On November 30, 1940 in Clarks Mills, Estelle was united in marriage to Frank Wiese. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1998. Before her marriage, she worked at Schwartzes in Two Rivers. Estelle enjoyed photography, scrap booking, and was known by her family for her legendary cooking, creating fantastic meals and desserts. She was always a pleasure to visit. Estelle was a mother and grandmother before anything else. She derived much enjoyment from spending time with her cherished loved ones.
Survivors include her two daughers: Marilyn Siegel, Story, Wyoming, and Cynthia Notz, Appleton; one son and daughter-in-law: David & Eda Wiese, Appleton; seven grandchildren and three grandchildren-in-law: Justin Wiese, Cassidy Wiese, Shawn & Jeanne Siegel, Kristin Siegel Troy & Nicole Notz, Shawna Scharenbroch, Shana Scharenbroch, and Laurie Notz; six great-grandchildren: Anastasia Scharenbroch, Athena Scharenbroch, Zachery Notz, Ashleigh Notz, Chloe Notz, and Elijah Notz, one sister-in-law: Harrett. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. Estelle was preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers-in-law: Marcella Calchinski, Evelyn (Wilmer) Garvey, Lorraine (Earl) Sorenson, Hazel (Harold) Buhk, Jeanette (Paul) Novotny, John (Alice) Wiese, Edward Wiese and three sisters-in-law: Alice (Charlie) Lodel, Sophia (Bob) Riha, and Virginia (Raymond) Greenwood; two grandsons: Shad Siegel and Travis Notz, one granddaughter: Anna Siegel, and two son-in-laws: Arvid Siegel and Thomas Notz.
The funeral mass for Estelle will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, February 5, 2010 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O'Brien with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Scott M. Smaxwell, age 46, of 2602 Forest Avenue, Two Rivers, died Sunday morning, January 31, 2010, at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc Co.
Scott was born June 23, 1963, in Appleton, son of Mercedes (Bennin) Smaxwell and the late Martin Smaxwell. Scott enjoyed games and Star Trek.
Survivors include his mother: Mercedes Smaxwell, Two Rivers; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Mark Smaxwell, Two Rivers; Greg and Michelle Smaxwell, Valders; two nieces: Stephanie Behrmann, Two Rivers; Tatum Smaxwell, Valders; three nephews: Dylan, Darion and Jack Smaxwell, all of Valders; maternal grandmother: Mary Bennin, Manitowoc and a special friend Sean Arbuckle, Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Smaxwell; one sister, Pamela Smaxwell; and one brother, David Smaxwell.

Catherine I. Close, age 94, a resident at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died early Saturday morning, January 30, 2010 at Shady Lane.
She was born on August 2, 1915 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Holschbach) Mohr. On October 5, 1939 Catherine married Alfred Close at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1995. Together they owned and operated Al & Kate's Bar in Manitowoc. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Jim and Marian Close, Mishicot; one daughter and son-in-law: Sandy and Skip King, Enola, PA; nine grandchildren: Dawn Fruzen, James Jr. (Sherry) Close, Christine (Robert) Kintgen, Billie Jo (Larry) Lewis, Allen (Autumn) Close, Deanna (Steve) Serlin, Pamela (Eric) Gorman, Deborah (Brian) Peters, Richard (Arlene) King; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, and one brother.

Dorothy Bartlein, age 91, a resident of Laurel Grove, Manitowoc, died Friday evening, January 29, 2010 at Laurel Grove.
She was born on April 26, 1918 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Otto and Minnie (Gaieck) Brandt. On July 9, 1938 she married Max Bartlein in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in January of 1995. Dorothy was a former member and president of the St. James Ladies Guild.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Barbara and Fred Heiderich, Betty Kodel, all of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren;
Private family funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m.on Tuesday February 2, 2010 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev.Paul Heidrich. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery in New Berlin, WI.

Dale G. Gilbertson, age 69, of 1418 S. 22nd Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
He was born on November 16, 1940, in Fond du Lac, son of the late Gordon and Delores (Krautkramer) Gilbertson. Dale graduated from Brillion High School. On September 18, 1999 he married the former Beverly Schneider at 1st Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. Dale was employed with several different trucking companies for over 35 years, including Chizek Transportation which he retired from after 23 years of service.
Survivors include his wife: Beverly Gilbertson, Manitowoc; a son: Dan Gilbertson, Denver, Colorado; two step sons: Bruce (Kathy) Schneider, Sheboygan, Brian Schneider, Brillion, two step daughters: Teresa (Rodney) Fish, Two Rivers, Tammy (Jeff) Korte, Manitowoc; twelve step grandchildren: Jenny, Susan, Travis, Amy Jo, Mark, Nic, Adam, Paul, Mallory, Matthew, Amber and Lindsay; nine step great grandchildren: two brothers: Dennis (Mary) Gilbertson, Sulpher Springs, Texas, Gary (Joy) Gilbertson, Brillion; two special friends: Able and Dick; along with his two dogs: Kessley and Sammie. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Ronald D. Denault, age 66, made his journey to heaven Monday morning, January 25, 2010 at his residence, 1909 20th street, Two Rivers after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
Ronald was born August 1, 1943, in Walhalla, ND, son of the late Cyril and Sarah (Bourbanis) Denault. On August 28, 1965 he married Connie Paulson in Cavalier, ND. Ronald was a hardworking man who worked for Ironworkers Local 8 most of his life. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a great joy to him. Ronald also loved "putzing" around the house, working on cars and hunting. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laugh and sense of humor.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie, Two Rivers, three daughters and one son-in-law: Lorie and Jeff White, Grafton, ND; Michelle Denault, Grafton, ND; Ronda Denault, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law: Corie and Sheri Denault, Two Rivers; nine grandsons: Jamie, Jerad, Derek, and Devin White; Isaac and Raymond Wynne; Trinton, Traven and Kamdyn Denault; two great grandchildren: Aubrey White and Timothy Wynne; three brothers and one sister-in-law: Everett Denault, Cavalier, ND; Francis Denault, Manitowoc; Darrel and Jackie Denault, Algoma; one sister: Lorraine Storey, Grand Forks, ND. Carol J. Langer, age 61, of 2904 Shoto Road, Two Rivers, died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on September 7, 1948, in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Robert N. and Elaine K. (Schmieder) Jensen. Carol was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1966, and Holy Family School of Nursing in 1969. On September 7, 1974, she married Robert J. Langer in Sheboygan. Carol began her nursing career as a candy striper at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. After receiving her RN license, she stayed at Holy Family to continue doing the work she loved on the Medical floor. Illness forced her to retire in 2009. She received a certificate of appreciation from the Board of Directors in recognition of 40 years of dedicated service.
Survivors include her husband: Robert Langer, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa Kathryn & Chad Fuka, Valders, Catherine Michelle & Thomas Lemens, Green Bay; a son: Christopher William Langer & special friend: Jihee Baek, Milwaukee; three grandchildren: Madelyn Rose Fuka, Ethan Robert Fuka and Amanda Carol Lemens; a brother: Robert Jensen, Kimberly; a sister and brother-in-law: Susan & Ronald Mosnik, Green Bay; and two brothers-in-law: Kenneth Langer and his wife, Mary; James Langer and his wife, Sharon, all of Norman, WI. Carol was a devoted wife and mother. She greatly valued the time she spent with Madelyn, her first grandchild, and fought hard to meet Ethan and Amanda. She and Bob enjoyed walking and biking at Point Beach and going camping with their family.

Bernie H. Bentley, age 89, of 1715 S. 10th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, January 25, 2010, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
He was born on March 2, 1920, in Manitowoc, son of the late Walter and Lillian (Grall) Bentley. Bernie was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1938. On June 26, 1943, he married the former Louise McCormick at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Bernie was employed at Manitowoc Public Utilities as a foreman, retiring in 1982. He loved fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife: Louise Bentley; a son and daughter-in-law: Jack & Margaret Bentley; a daughter and son-in-law: Bonnie & Bill Marshburn, all of Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Kristine Bentley, Kelly (Brian) Toltzmann, Mike (Angela) Marshburn, Nicole (Brian) Staudinger; and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and a brother-in-law.

Melinda Blajeski, age 34, of 3904 Martin Lane, Two Rivers, died on Sunday morning, Jan. 24, 2010, at the home of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Melinda was born February 18, 1975 in Green Bay. She loved music and people, especially when they had conversations with her.
Survivors include relatives and friends and the Sisters of St. Joseph.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Ronald M. Hansen, age 58, of Manitowoc, died early, Sunday morning, January 24, 2010 at his residence.
Ronald was born on April 4, 1951 in Manitowoc, son of the late Sereno and Alice (Turney) Hansen. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal from 1968 until 1971 and served in the Vietnam War. On January 13, 1973 he married the former Mary Ann Springstube in Manitowoc. Ronald lived in Manitowoc as well as Jamaica, West Indies. He was employed with Boilermakers Local 107 as a welder and retired after 25 yrs. of dedicated service. Ron enjoyed volunteering for many different charities.
Survivors include his wife; Mary Ann Hansen, Manitowoc, one daughter; Brenda Sue Hansen, Manitowoc, one grandson; Timothy Ronald Hansen, Manitowoc, one granddaughter; Kayli Maryann Posvic, Francis Creek, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Eugene (Naomi Ruth) Hansen, Pensacola, FL and Dean (Christy) Hansen, Francis Creek. Ronald is further survived by his father-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father. Sereno Hansen, mother, Alice (Turney) Hansen, one brother, Charles Hansen, mother-in-law, Betty Springstube, brother-in-law, Gary Springstube, paternal and maternal grandparents.

Leon C. Sleger, age 66, of 1141 S. 39th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday evening, January 22, 2010 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Leon was born on January 20, 1944 in two Rivers, son of the late Victor and Alice Pries Sleger. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln high School with the class of 1962 he then graduated from Silver Lake College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Leon served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1966 during the Vietnam War stationed in Paris. On October 26, 1968 he married the former Arlene Ploor at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. She preceded him in death on October 11, 2004. Leon was employed with Mirro Aluminum Manufacturing Company as a supervisor for 29 years. Most recently Leon worked in the meat department at Wal-Mart. He enjoyed woodworking and crossword puzzles. Leon was a member of the Eagles Aeries Post #706 in Manitowoc.

Sister Mary Dolores Meyer, age 84, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Friday morning, January 22, 2010, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
The former Lucille Meyer was born on March 31, 1925, in Kiel, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Schneider) Meyer. She entered the Convent in 1939 and professed her vows in 1943. Sister Mary Dolores earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc, and a Master of Arts Degree from Clarke College, Dubuque, Iowa. Sister Mary Dolores served as a teacher at St. Anthony, Neopit, St. Joseph, Sturgeon Bay, Sacred Heart, Sherwood, Holy Rosary, New Holstein, St. Pius X and St. Bernadette, Appleton, St. Gabriel, Neenah, St. Michael, Whitelaw, St. Boniface, Manitowoc, all of Wisconsin; St. Agnes, Mingo Junction, Ohio; Immaculate Conception & St. Francis, Yuma, Arizona; San Roque, Santa Barbara, California, St. Francis Xavier, Petoskey, Michigan and principal at St. Bernadette, Appleton, St. Paul, Manitowoc, and St. Paul, Wrightstown. After her retirement from active ministry, she performed a variety of tasks at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, Holy Redeemer, Two Rivers and St. Francis Convent, Manitowoc. Since 2006, she had been residing in St. Rita Health Center at the Motherhouse. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; and a sister-in-law: Rose Meyer, Kiel, Wisconsin. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Sister Alice Meyer, along with other brothers and sisters.

Hannelore (Honey) Gruett, age 79, of 3612 Shepherd Lane, Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2010.
She was born on March 11, 1930, in Germany, daughter of the late Bruno and Maria (Finken) Frisch. Hannelore received a degree in Engineering and was employed with Paper Converting Machine Company of Green Bay. In 1961 she married Donald G. Gruett in Menominee, Michigan, and moved to Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband: Donald Gruett, Manitowoc; a daughter: Cindy M. Wirth, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Justin and Samantha Wirth; a brother and sister-in-law: Bruno & Cynthia Frisch, San Francisco, CA; and a sister: Margrete. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother: Horst Frisch and one sister: Anneliese.

Terry P. Stout, age 53, of 1720 Ahrens Ct., Manitowoc, WI, formerly of Richmond, died Saturday, January 16, 2010 at his residence, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born on September 13, 1956 in Winchester, Indiana, son of the late Paul R. and Ramona N. (Alyea) Stout. Terry graduated from Northeastern High School in Wayne County Indiana, class of 1975. He recently was working toward a business degree. Terry served in the United States Army, retiring after 22 years of service to his country. On October 1, 1982 he originally married Terri Bastianelli in Manitowoc. Terry was employed as a foreman at the Kohler Company in Sheboygan for the last ten years. He belonged to the AMVETS Post 99, the Patriot Guard and was a member of HOG, Manitowoc County Chapter.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Stout of Manitowoc; two daughters: Mandy Jo Stout of Manitowoc and Cassie Lynn Stout of Indianapolis; two brothers: Larry Stout (fiancé, Carol Hymen) of Indianapolis, and David Stout (wife, Stephanie) of Layfayette; and one sister: Laurie Clark (husband, Dan) of Lafayette. He also leaves behind two step brothers: Doug Blocher (wife, Karen), of Bloomington, IN; and Scott Blocher (wife, Andrea) of Lafayette. Terry also had many nieces, nephews, other relatives and family who survive. Preceding Terry in death are his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lois & Henry Bastianelli; and one brother-in-law, Billy Bastianelli.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc, WI. There will be a tribute to Terry at 7:00 p.m. followed by military rites at 8:00 p.m. led by the AMVETS Post 99.
Terry will be laid to rest at Fountain Park Cemetery in Lynn Indiana at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2010. Officiating at the committal prayers will be Pastor Eric Knight. Graveside military rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made in Terry's name to the American Cancer Society or the Manitowoc County Humane Society.
Terry had many special friends whom he enjoyed riding his Harley with, watching Packer games and golfing. He loved spending time with his family and friends up north at the cottage and his passion was his Harley and yearly trips to Sturgis with his friends.

Robert I. Coppersmith, age 74, of 770 E. Albert Drive, Manitowoc, died Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County.
Robert was born May 16, 1935, in Kewaunee County, son of the late Isadore and Evelyn (Worachek) Coppersmith. On February 1, 1958 he married the former LaVerne Behrmann at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. Robert was employed at Hamilton Mfg. Company for over 38 years retiring in 1997. Robert also owned and operated a farm for over 30 years. He also was a milk hauler for various companies. He enjoyed woodworking.

Ricky J. Stoltzman, age 45, of 2000 Johnston Drive Lot 214, Manitowoc died Friday January 8, 2010 at Northridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ricky was born December 18, 1964 in Manitowoc. He worked at Zipperer Home Improvements where he did roofing and siding. He enjoyed fishing, walking his dog, and being outdoors.
Ricky is survived by his mother: Nancy Stoltzman, Colorado Springs, CO; one sister: Debra Stoltzman, Colorado Springs, CO; two brothers: Steve (Christine Copus) Stoltzman, Two Rivers, WI; Greg Stoltzman, Manitowoc; life long partner: Sue Stoltzman, Manitowoc, WI; and foster dad: Frank Raith, Reedsville. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ricky was preceded in death by his twin brother and best friend Randy Stoltzman.
A memorial service for Ricky will be held on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the memorial service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, and Ricky will be laid to rest at a later date.

Leroy D. Rathsack, age 82, of 943 S. 39th Street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, January 12, 2010 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, of complications from treating his brain tumor for the last 2 ½ months. He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Leroy was born on April 22, 1927 in Manitowoc, son of the late Leo and Frances (Labinski) Rathsack. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1945. Leroy served in the United States Navy during World War II. On June 25, 1949, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Poleto of Renovo, PA at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. This past summer, Leroy and Dorothy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren. Leroy worked as a machinist for Manitowoc Engineering for 42 years, retiring in April 1989. Leroy was the rock of his family. He was always there for his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed following his grandchildren's sporting events. He was a generous, hardworking man always willing to help when needed. Leroy enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing sheepshead with the guys on Thursday nights at Marv's. He also enjoyed playing bingo and going on bus trips to the casinos. Leroy enjoyed taking his daily walks around his neighborhood and visiting with friends along the way. He also enjoyed working on puzzles through the long winters. Leroy is a former member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He is a member of St. Francis of Assisi parish and a lifelong member of V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659.
Survivors include his wife: Dorothy Rathsack, Manitowoc; his children: Steve & Anita Rathsack, Oshkosh, Cindy & Richard Dunton, Sue Valentine & special friend Jon Luedtke, Paul & Lisa Rathsack, all of Manitowoc; grandchildren: John Rathsack, Brian Dunton & special friend Dana, Laura Dunton, Valerie & Michael Valentine, Jenna, Mitchel & Marcus Rathsack; a sister: Elaine Rathsack, Los Angeles, CA; a brother: Charles Rathsack, Middleton, WI; a brother-in-law: Charles Poleto and his wife, Peggy, Renovo, PA; and a sister-in-law: Angeline Borths, Charlevoix, Michigan. Mae Utterstedt, age 92, of 5108 S. 10th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, January 13, 2010, at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on May 13, 1917, in Arlington, South Dakota, daughter of the late Lewis and Louise (Pederson) Norgaard. In November of 1937 she married Ernest Utterstedt in South Dakota. He preceded her in death in 1970. Mae enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan with her son, Wayne. She also took pride in her gardening and planting flowers.
Survivors include a son: Wayne Utterstedt, Manitowoc; and a brother: Melvin Norgaard, Beloit. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Marvin, Roy and Arnold; and three sisters: Elvera Runge, Pearl Hendrickson and Mable Griffith.
A visitation will be held at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010.

Jeanette R. Ewen, age 86, of 1700 S. 18th Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Kewaunee Care Center, Kewaunee.
She was born on March 11, 1923, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Edwin C. and Marie (Novy) Ewen. Jeanette was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1940 and continued her education at Manitowoc Business School. She was employed as an accountant at Fischl Dairy Company for many years. Jeanette was then employed with a GM dealership in North Milwaukee. After the dealership moved to Watertown, Jeanette retired from there in 1999.
She was a former member of the Manitowoc Business & Professional Women's Club and continued her membership with the club in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Jeanette was a former member of the Manitowoc Catholic Women's Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church Choir. She was a present member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law: Julius & Mary Ewen, Naples, Florida, and Charles Ewen, Addison, Illinois. Nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy Dworak - Pekarek and a sister-in-law: Janice Ewen.

Chester F. Becker, age 91, formerly of 1130 S. 19th Street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
He was born on October 10, 1918, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Mary (Budysz) Becker. Chester was a machinist with the United States Army Air Corps serving from 1942 to 1945. He was employed as a carpet installer at Shimek's Furniture, Manitowoc. Chester was a member of the AmVets Post #99 where he celebrated 25 years as their organizations recording secretary and the Eagles Club of Manitowoc.
Survivors include three sisters: Esther Bertler, Sophia Bies and Blanche Neuser, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by four sisters: Emily Becker, Frances Becker, Josie Jankowski and Agnes Neuser and six brothers: Richard, Frank, Alex, Stanley, Joseph and Hilary Becker.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Marion K. Jagemann, age 93, a resident of Kindred Hearts, Manitowoc, died Friday morning, January 8, 2010 at Kindred Hearts.
Marion was born on March 12, 1916 in Cato, daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Yohanek) Reitmeyer. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, class of 1933. On November 8, 1986 she married Raymond C. Jagemann at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1989. Marion was employed at Mirro Corporation in the office from 1955 until her retirement in 1981.
Survivors include one daughter: Eunice Wotruba, Manitowoc; two grandsons: David and Melissa Wotruba, Tomahawk, Dean and Kathy Wotruba, Chicago; four great grandchildren: Noah, Jacob, Ashley and Autumn; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Daisy Brennan, Manitowoc, Leonetta and Mitch Silver, Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law: George and Betty Reitmeyer, Manitowoc, Carl and Ruth Reitmeyer, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Marion was also preceded in death by three sisters and brothers-in-law: Ella and Clarence Sittman, Alma and Clarence Carbon, Olive and John Grall; one brother and sister-in-law: Joseph and Mayme Reitmeyer; one son-in-law: Fred "Fritz" Wotruba on December 27, 2009.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow at St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery in Whitelaw.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The visitation will continue on Wednesday morning at The Pfeffer Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the morning prayer service at 10:00 a.m.



Terry S. Peterson, age 46, of 316 Riverview Drive, Manitowoc, died Saturday, January 2, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on January 2, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Richard C. And Jean (Kendrick) Peterson.
Survivors include an uncle: Harold (Pete) Peterson, Manitowoc; and an aunt: Irene & Charles Stanton, Ventura, California. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Terry was cremated at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and will be laid to rest at a later date.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with arrangements.



Wendell D. Smith, age 76, of 1807 29th Street, Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening, January 5, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County, following a four year courageous battle with cancer.
Wendell was born February 6, 1933, in Oneonta, NY, son of the late G. Vernon and Elizabeth (Storie) Smith. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953 in Korea. Wendell received the Purple Heart for wounds received, Combat Infantry Badge, U.N. Service Medal, Presidential ROK Citation, and five Campaign Stars. On March 11, 1963 he married Geraldine Bever in Menominee, MI. Following his military service,Wendell was a chef in the Merchant Marines and then was employed at Kelvinator and Eggers for several years retiring in 1972 due to disability. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Two Rivers Senior Center and was a former member of the Two Rivers Eagles Club. Wendell enjoyed his summers fishing and his many friends at the family cottage in Little Sturgeon. He had a passion for cooking and would "putz" in the kitchen for hours. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife: Geraldine Smith, Two Rivers; two sons and daughters-in-law: Gregg and Bridget Smith, Midland, MI; Brad and Kim Smith, Mukwonago, WI; one daughter: Brenda Smith, Two Rivers; grandchildren: Nicole and Garrett, Midland; Ryan and Danielle, Mukwonago; one great granddaughter: Elizabeth Ann, Midland; three brothers-in-law: Jerome Bever, Monona, WI; Elroy Bever, Two Rivers; Michael Bever, Portland, OR; two sisters-in-law: Sr. Marilyn Bever, CSA; Glendale, AZ; June Smith, Chazy, NY; special friends: Bob & Denise Nellis, Grafton, WI; Ray and JoAnn Weldon, Little Sturgeon, WI; and Wencel Svatek, Two Rivers. He was preceded in death by his father and mother: G. Vernon & Elizabeth Smith; step father: George Fuller; father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Rose Bever; brother: Alson Smith; and sister-in-law: Marge Bever.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, January 9, 2010, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. William O'Brien. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center and Wendell will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 8:30 am until 10:15 am on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers.
